Biography

GAVLYN is a Latin American female HipHop artist born and raised in California’s, San Fernando Valley.  Growing up in a single parent household with a family of six, you could imagine things were far from ordinary for her growing up.  She started out doing spoken word at the age of 16, and after a few years of taking music from her sister,  started discovering artists like MF DOOM that inspired her to start focusing on writing rhymes instead. Immediately enamored by the hip hop culture, she started to find her escape in the melting pot of Los Angeles music scenes. By frequently attending heavy hitting events like Low End Theory, Project Blowed & The Urban Underground.
It wasn’t long til she had found her voice, sound and second home amongst the masses.

As she got older, this love translated well within her lyricism and message,
building a strong identity and loyal audience in one of the hardest markets in the world.

She dropped her first video on YouTube in 2012 titled “ WHAT I DO ”  off her 1st album “From The Art” that went viral breaking 10 million views, years prior to the peak of social media and platforms like instagram & twitter.

Gavlyn has continued to defy the odds in the independent music scene, trailblazing the lane she’s created with her affiliates like  DJ Hoppa of Broken Complex, Reverie, Blimes Brixton & more.
Her voice has resonated well and so far up the ladder that even veteran artists have taken notice such as Snoop Dogg, B-Real (Cypress Hill) to name a few...

Most notably, she recently was hand-picked to perform at the Inaugural Obama Block Party and Boulevard Sign Reveal alongside The Mayor of Los Angeles, Stevie Wonder, Doug E Fresh,
Shelia E. and a couple thousand people coming together to make history.

The domino effect continues to be consistent with Gavlyn and her team as she continues to break barriers on and off the internet to this day.

Her music has taken her around the globe,  and she’s about to embark on her 5th international tour
to reconnect with her fanbase that continues to grow and support worldwide.
